The word 'icicle' always reminds me of Christmas and those silver strands some people put on their Christmas trees!!

I know I'm wa-a-ay late here but. . .no! Where would you find icicles in Oz to taste? Must be Northern Hemisphere Strangeness . . .

Usually they'd hang off the edges of roofs or windows. So basically they were formed from all the roof and gutter water run off! The more I think about it, the more I'm amazed kids don't die from trying to eat icicles! They have a very distinctive "dirt" taste! :P
