May the Force be with you ;)
I always liked the idea of "the Force." An energy that surrounds and connects all things in the universe, that could be tapped into, and would enhance your own energy and abilities depending on what parts of the force you were tuned into.
"The Force is ... an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us, penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together."

I was so very a Star Wars geek. I was pretty much waiting for Luke Skywalker to land his x-Wing in my backyard. Years later my husband and I must have joked about it in front of the kids one too many times, because apparently my daughter spent part of her childhood thinking that Luke Skywalker was my ex-husband. ;)
I don't think being "into it" was ever a choice with me. It was just part of my life. It was everywhere! I still have my vinyl record(s) of the music (not a cool green like that other record you have! :D )
Re your daughter, you should have told her yes :)
How cool was it the first time ever you saw "Star Wars"? I remember the music the battleships etc so cool!
Do you know what? I was unphased by that! I don't know why, but the effects didn't stand out to me. It all looked perfectly natural and I never wondered "Wow, how did they do that??!" Ships flying around in space? Light sabers? - I bought into all of it and accepted it "as is."
Oh! But you know what??! I got SO annoyed with the Yoda inconsistencies!!! WHY DID THEY CHANGE HIM??!! His size, his voice, his demeanor!!! That jarred me out of that "world" and put me 100% into a technical mind re the remaining films. Messed up my FUN! :P
Yeah, yeah, I meant that i bought into it all coz it was just all so believably good! Wasn't so excited by it by the time Yoda came around, unfortunately. I hate that they made Luke Leia's sister though. . . it's like they thought of it MUCH later. Kinda like the way they write those soaps. . .Days of our Lives etc.
I don't think the one where they make Luke Leia's sister has come out yet ;) Lol!
Ah whatever. . . .it was a long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away. . .
